Join a vital, Christian Spiritual Formation ministry, collaborating with God in the transformational journey of Christians around the world. A leader in Formation ministries, Emmaus is on the leading edge of spiritual formation and direction. Your experience with spiritual formation and direction training has prepared you to lead our School of Spiritual Formation and Direction. Your leadership will be to a growing, specialized 3-year, cohort based, (9) course, part-time Spiritual Direction training program. Our Certificate program is currently running 4 cohorts/year, including international students, meeting via zoom to learn, engage, and participate in the leading edge of Christian transformation: Spiritual Formation and Spiritual Direction. 

 FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:

Part-time position: 15 hours-20 hours/week Compensation: $22,000-$25,000

REQUIREMENTS

  • A leader with a team-oriented perspective
  • Active member of a Christian church
  • Practicing Spiritual Director
  • Excellent Computer Skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe, Zoom/online teaching
  • Proven Communication skills
  • Teach one course within the academic year (separate renumeration)

Education

  • Masters theological degree
  • Certificate in Spiritual Direction

Experience

  • desiring a mature leader with excellent curriculum development and teaching experience
  • Supervisory leadership of adults
  • On-line teaching
  • Spiritual Direction experience

Commitment

  • The successful candidate will be prepared to make a 3 year commitment, after 3 month pro- bationary

DIRECT REPORT

  • Report to and Coordinate with the Executive Director
    • Consult on important issues
    • Maintain good communication
    • Major decisions to be made in conjunction with Advisory council and Executive Director
  • Work in conjunction with the Administrative/ClassAssistant
  • serve on the Advisory Council

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT

  • Maintain and develop curriculum as needed

COURSE MANAGEMENT

TEACHER MANAGEMENT

  • Arrange for teachers for each course (about 6 months in advance).

STUDENT MANAGEMENT

  • Orient students to Emmaus policies and practices

o Continue development of the “Guidelines for Emmaus Students”

ALUMNI

  • Plan continuing education courses and advanced Spiritual Direction Certificate for alumni and others.
  • Involvement in the Emmaus Society of Spiritual Directors for continuing education devel- opment
