Using Christian principles in all our materials, the truths of Scripture are presented through print, digital, audio and video resources. Perhaps best known for the Our Daily Bread daily devotional, the Canadian office also translates additional resources into French and supports additional languages through cooperation with other Our Daily Bread Ministries offices around the world.
Position Summary:
The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for collaborating with the Marketing Team on the development and implementation of a ministry-wide digital marketing strategy that supports our overall mission, vision and meets the impact objectives of Our Daily Bread Ministries Canada. The successful candidate must share our passion for the Word of God, and have experience in website design/programming, social media and email marketing, media relations, and strategic planning. The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for driving engagement with digital users across all channels. This includes close collaboration with other senior management to devise and lead digital engagement strategy aligned with our brand voice and copy guidelines. This position will develop and implement digital marketing campaigns, projects and dialogue aimed at increasing engagement.
As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will be required to:
- Manage multiple digital ministry marketing projects/campaigns from inception to completion.
- Ensure data privacy and compliance regulations are followed, updated and maintained.
- Coordinate communication among ODBMC teams and outside vendors to ensure a complete understanding of project plans, requirements, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Identify, track, and report on each project's scope, timeframe, and cost.
- Develop specific process flows for each project and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain consistent recurring deadlines for regularly scheduled digital campaigns.
- Ensure our ministry websites and consumer webstore remain updated.
- Work with contract programmers to ensure websites are always up and functioning at the utmost efficiency and speed.
- Ensure all digital properties are secure and protected from outside threats, bots, attacks, viruses, and other potential compromising situations to ensure security of all sites and corresponding data.
- Communicate regularly with global teams to coordinate digital engagement tactics and best practices.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create, maintain, and execute a digital engagement calendar and strategic plans.
- Provide clear and concise communication with individuals and groups throughout the organization.
- Attend industry webinars and conferences as required.
- Research trends, techniques, and technologies useful to fulfill all digital engagement functions.
- Maintain a user-focused approach to all digital engagement tactics, including user testing and research to inform the most effective ways to engage digital users.
- Use social listening tools to monitor online conversations and provide sentiment analysis for relevant topics to all ministry efforts.
- Benchmark criteria to measure the effectiveness of digital engagement and implement improvements as required.
- Track and report monthly on all digital KPI’s.
- Research cost of projects and make recommendations on expenditures and budget.
- Provide other graphic design, content writing or other related duties as needed.
- Provide Biblical answers in response to questions and feedback from various channels.
- Report directly to the Director of Marketing.
As the Digital Marketing Manager, you have:
- A degree in marketing, communications, computer science or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the digital & social content space.
- A proven and high-level of digital marketing competency. (i.e., web, social media, email marketing).
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Shopify E-Commerce platform and back-end maintenance.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in WordPress and Optimizely hosting and website programming/development.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in successful placement of corporate campaigns using Google AdWords, Facebook & Instagram advertising.
- The ability to coordinate multiple marketing efforts and keep track of the details of several simultaneous projects.
- Experience with, and understanding of API’s, webhooks, and DXP websites.
- Sensitivity to the charitable accountability to donors in the use of funds.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe suite of products, and Microsoft Office suite.
- In-depth experience establishing and fulfilling KPI’s for visitor website goals, engagement on social media and revenue targets for online sales.
- A strong Biblical knowledge to ensure content is aligned to correct interpretation and application.
- A strong command of the English language with advanced writing skills.
- Leadership experience in marketing direction and digital growth.
- Effective communication skills for reporting outputs and results to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

- An understanding of Canadian Charity Law, data privacy and compliance regulations.
Miscellaneous notes:
- This work is in a secure environment regulated by PIPEDA and PCI Compliance. The employment contract requires a background check and police clearance. A confidentiality agreement is also required to conform to privacy policies.
- Our office is in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Candidates who can work in the office will be given preference. However, the option of working remotely or using a hybrid model will be considered.
