POSITION:
(3/4 Time - Full-Time options) Pastor of Evangelism & Missions

 
ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • To the Integrator of Lead Team as First Report
  • To the spiritual covering of the Elders, Lead Pastor and the financial accountability of the Board of Directors

 
POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Working with the Lead and Pastoral Teams, to initiate outreach and evangelism at RAC.
  • To develop training for the people of RAC which will guide and inspire them in personal evangelism.
  • To bring focus, direction and implementation of the plan to fulfill the call of the Lord for RAC to become a ‘national influence’ for the gospel.
  • Position could be combined with oversight and leading the Young Adults Ministry pending on candidate.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To provide leadership to all Global Initiatives:
    • Mission trips
    • Evangelism (events and lifestyle)
    • Organizing local ministry trips for the church
    • Overseeing missions’ partners (Local and abroad)
    • Church planting
    • Training and implementation in evangelism (Kairos, MyCityCare, Search for Jesus)
  • To raise up, train and release young evangelists, church planters and itinerant ministers at RAC.
  • To encourage and support those from RAC that the Church sanctions as valid itinerant ministries.
  • To develop outreach opportunities in other communities and send teams of people from RAC to minister.(Weekend Off-Site Ministries)
  • To attend Lead Team (L10) meetings and planning sessions as called by the Lead Pastor.
  • To prepare detailed budgets and comply with approved budgets for anything specific to your ministry as required by the Board of Directors.
  • To attend Wednesday night prayer meetings on a regular basis.
  • To attend weekend services when not doing ministry outside of the church.
  • To preach in weekend services inside and outside RAC, as assigned by the Lead Pastor, as needed and/or available.
  • To devote time for personal spiritual, pastoral and ministry-specific growth and leadership development.
    • Prayer, reading books, listening to webinars and attending theology, leadership and ministry specific courses, workshops, seminars, conferences and retreats as approved by the Lead Pastor.
  • As a member of the Lead and Pastoral teams there will be added responsibilities assigned.

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a strong personal commitment to Christ and a desire to minister to people.
  • Must live a Biblical lifestyle appropriate to this position.
  • Must be a regular church attendee and willing to become a member of RAC with a consistent record of financial giving.
  • Must have a professional attitude and work ethic.
  • Must have the ability to deal with the public in a Christ-like manner.
  • To be involved with volunteer work above and beyond as a member of the church.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality when necessary.
  • Must provide a personal vehicle to facilitate this ministry.
  • To be a commissioned member or working toward ordination with the Apostolic Church of Pentecost of Canada, Inc. (ACOP)
  • To have a basic, clear understanding of the Word, received from a recognized learning institute.
  • To continue in personal study and improvement in your area of ministry.
  • To maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with other staff and church members.
  • To maintain a clean and inviting office environment.
