Director of Young Adults

TITLE:  Director of Young Adults

POSITION: Part-time (10-15 hours per week) role leading and overseeing the Young Adults Ministry.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

• To the Spiritual Formations Team Lead as your First Report
• To the spiritual covering of the Elders and the financial accountability of the Board of Directors

POSITION OVERVIEW:

• To contribute to the Spiritual Formations Leadership Team.
• To provide spiritual development and leadership to the Young Adults of RAC
• Work in conjunction with Eston College to promote young adult unity and collaboration within our two communities and throughout the city.
  
  

POSITION ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide leadership and oversee the spiritual development of young adults (between the ages of 18-25)
• Oversee vision and planning for the leadership of young adults’ ministry
• Build and assist a leadership team to minister into the lives of this demographic.
• Provide mentoring as needed to members of this community.
• Assist and encourage young adults to become disciples of Jesus
• Periodic connection with Eston College leadership to foster collaboration in Young Adult Ministry.
• To prepare detailed budgets and comply with board approved financial plans.
• As a member of the Spiritual Formations Team, there may be responsibilities added.

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a strong personal commitment to Christ and a desire to minister to people.
• Must live a Biblical lifestyle appropriate to this position.
• Must be a regular church attendee and willing to become a member of RAC with a consistent record of financial giving.
• Must have a professional attitude and work ethic.
• Must have the ability to deal with the public in a Christ-like manner.
• To be involved with volunteer work above and beyond as a member of the church.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality when necessary.
• Must provide a personal vehicle to facilitate this ministry.
• To have a basic, clear understanding of the Word, received from a recognized learning institute.
• To continue in personal study and improvement in your area of ministry.
• To maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with other staff and church members.
• To maintain a clean and inviting office environment.
